How did the project start?
Our customer was a software developer company. They worked for larger Hungarian companies and banks where the document e-signature process was one of the primary functions.
They thought they could create a web-based document signature application for small and mid-sized enterprises. They already had an older in-house project. They originally wanted to refresh the look and feel only.
After they consulted with marketing experts and me, we agreed that if we wanted to sell as a product, we should rethink some existing solutions and improve the user flows and experience.

Designing the application
Main challenges:
Our goal was for the application screens to talk about their functionality. Nobody wants to read the application documentation.
Restructured the existing user flow with minimal back-end development in a user centric mindset.
Information Architecture :
The original information structure wasn't intuitive and self-evident. Thus, we had to rethink this.
As the primary function is to send documents or a group of documents to sign in the organisation, we thought the closest software was email applications.
If we create a similar information architecture as email software, our users will know how to use our application without any other help.
